A Qualified Trichologist is someone who successfully completes the Trichology Certification Course administered by the International Association of Trichologists (I.A.T.) This course was developed at the University of Southern California.
Trichologists specialize in hair and scalp problems, hair loss, baldness, scaling, itching, hair breakage, dryness or oiliness of the hair and scalp.
Trichologists may also examine the hair microscopically or suggest a mineral analysis of the hair.
Research has shown that for many elements hair more closely reflects body mineral stores than blood or urine, particularly in cases of toxic metal accumulation.
